A Priory for Bavaria

Our priories provide regional, unbureaucratic and rapid assistance worldwide!

Members of our European priories met at Tegernsee so that the ladies and knights in Bavaria could be there when they founded their priory. Prior Martin Hartweg and his dames and knights offered us an unforgettable weekend.

Culture, values and tradition are the cornerstones of our organisation, alongside our charitable work.

So we experienced a weekend that couldn’t have been more Bavarian.

On Friday evening, we went with local fishermen in their boats across Lake Tegernsee to our reception. In the ‘Bistro Mei Liabba’ we had probably the best fish variations one can imagine. The wine is said to have tasted quite good as well. As delicious as the evening ended, the next one started.

At the Mesner Gütl, things got off to a very hearty start in the morning. After free beer and white sausages, things got serious.

In the beautiful baroque church of Rottach-Egern, the foundation stone was laid for our Priory in Bavaria.
Flooded with sunlight, the whole church was illuminated at the moment of the founding of the priory. With 10 new dames and knights who will support our cause in Bavaria, we are very confident that this will provide a strong foundation for the future of our order in Bavaria, on which we can build.

After the festive investiture, we went back to the Mesner Gütl, just across the street, where Julia Große and her team, who did a great job, were already waiting for us for lunch. The great atmosphere was also helped by the live music, which played one classic after another for 12 hours.

There was celebrating, eating, drinking, singing and dancing. This weekend will remain in the memory of all participants for a very, very long time.

We are very happy about this strong start in Bavaria and warmly welcome our new dames and knights to the order.
