Together with so many other faithful Christians, we celebrated the beginning of Holy Week!
In very windy and rainy weather, many believers gathered at the Holy Trinity Column in Vienna. The procession moved from St Stephen’s Cathedral to the plague column on the Graben.
When our Cardinal Christoph Schönborn arrived and spoke the first words, the wind disappeared and the rain gave way to the sun. You can make of that what you will, but we are sure that „he“ deliberately held his hand over us at this precise moment.
After the consecration of the palm fronds, the procession moved towards St Stephen’s Cathedral and celebrated Holy Mass together.
